After successful completion of your programme you can become:

  • A qualified Beauty Therapist working in a reputable Spa or Beauty Salon or a owner of a beauty salon or Spa
  • A lecturer which can be a rewarding career path
  • A Skin Care specialist /representative offering advanced skin care treatments
  • A mobile therapist. This is rewarding both financially and socially since you determine when you work and the number of hours you work in a day
  • Free lance make-up artist working for a reputable magazine company, on brides, in the film industry, photo shoots, media and television.
  • Nail Technician .They are many nail salons and bars that require nail technicians to meet the growing demand for artificial nails.

Qualification: Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Diploma in Cosmetology

Type of jobs in the Beauty Industry:

    • Nail Technician
      Works in a salon fixing nails and treating some nail disorders.
    • Make–up Artist
      Work includes doing make – up for photographic sessions, corrective make-up for blemishes or for special occasions. A make-up artist can also work in a T.V company, model agency or movie industries.
    • Beauty Consultant
      Work includes selling beauty and cosmetic products and giving professional advice on make-up and skin care to clients.
    • Salon Owner
      Manages a salon. Must be self-motivated, do administrative work and recruit suitable staff.
    • Lecturer
      Train students in any of the beauty therapy courses. Can also research and attend workshops and other training programs.
    • Eye Technician
      Works in a salon and performs services related to the eye suck as waxing, tweezing and fixing of the various artificial lash.
    • Manicure and Pedicure Technician
      Works in a salon, shaping nails, removing cuticle, massaging hands and feet, and also applying nail polish.
    • Lecturer
      Can lecture both part – time and full time training students in any of the beauty therapy courses, organizing workshops for up and coming beauty therapist and attending continuing professional and development courses to keep up to date with developments in the field, doing lots of research about new nail art, eye art make up art etc, product and modern trends in the beauty industry.

Qualification: Diploma in Spa Therapy

Type of jobs in the Spa Therapy:

    • Massage Therapist
      Works in a spa using various massage techniques such as effleurage, petrissage etc. to improve blood circulation and also for the relaxation of clients.
    • Aromatherapist
      Works in a salon or spa and uses essential oils and natural healing powers to improve the balance of the mind and body.
    • Electrotherapist
      Works in a salon or spa by using electro therapy to treat the face from blemishes, hyper pigmentations and other facial problems.
    • Facial Therapy
      Work in a salon or spa and uses products such as toners, masks and methods to treat the face from blemishes and hyper pigmentations.
    • Spa Owner
      Managing and administering activities in the salon or spa.
    • Beauty Consultant
      Work includes selling beauty and cosmetic products and giving professional advice on make-up and skin care to clients.

Type of jobs in Hairdressing Industry

    • General Stylist/Hairdresser
      Will be required to work in a salon; Hair Cutting and Hair Coloring.
    • Salon Owner
      Will be able to own his/her own salon. In addition to the work in hairdressing, must have management and entrepreneurial skills, recruit staff and market salon.
    • Lecturer
      Can lecture both part – time and full time training students in hairdressing, organizing workshops for hairdressers and attending continuing professional and development courses to keep up to date with developments in the field, doing lots of research about hair, hair product and modern trends in hairdressing.
